No, no, no. There were no Bo Derek in bikini with running lamp around her head running down Main Street sightings this morning. Just 10 of Harrisburg’s finest and most fit Blue Ridge Relay runners and potential runners taking it upon themselves to beat the sunrise and do their body good with about 5 to 5.5 miles, depending on ones pace. We started and ended at the what was once Sports Junction, and our 45 minutes together was as follows:

The Thang

– West on Main to L onto Harrisburg Plaza
– Cross Roberta Road, L to 49
– 49 to R onto Cedar Drive
– L Hudson Drive
– R onto Lakeview Drive
– R onto Williams Rd.
– L ont Valhala Drive
(Depending on pace, go straight onto Plaza and back to Sports Junction, or)
– L onto Morehead Rd.
– R onto Patricia Ave.
– L onto Parallel Drive
– R onto Roberta Road
– L over Roberta onto Physicians Blvd.
– R onto Kee Lane
– L onto Carl Parmer Drive
– L through Townhomes parking lot just before Carl Parmer Drive
– R onto Town Hall Place
– L onto Owen Center Road
– L onto Kee Lane
– R onto Main Street back to where it all began

1. Nice to have a slightly cooler run this Wednesday morning. Will we miss the humid hot summer Wednesdays in Jan. and Feb.?
2. First time back from a run with blood running down my nose. Must have been from the limb I (yes, even short guys can run into tree limbs) didn’t see on 49 by Sonic.
3. Great improvement in everyones times from just last year at this time. We are all becoming more fit!
4. Pleasure running mostly with Hong Kong Phooey and Exit 54 while leading the PAX. You would think that after spending about 2 days in a cramped van with Phooey, he would have had enough of me……….and vice versa.
5. Monthly Hump Day Happy Hour is TONIGHT @ 7p @ Flanagan’s. Any reason why you won’t be there?
