Economic Growth, Crime Trends, and a Beatdown
All All MECA BackblastsMay 10th, 2016
QIC: Thick Burger
PAX: Babyface, Ichabod, Brutus, Gridiron
5 gnarly dudes showed up to grunt and spit through a tough beatdown at the Grove this morning.
We began with a little warmup:
SSH X 20
Good Morning X 10
Windmill X 15
IST X 20
Hillbilly X 15
Merkin X 15
Perfect Merkin X 8
Mountain Climber X 10
Next, we casually mosey’d to the coupon station for a quick upper body pump. Grab your favorite coupon (AKA a big heavy rock) and get busy:
Chest Press X 15
Curls X 12
Overhead Tricep Extension X 8
REPEATO
*It was at some point during our visit to the coupon station that Gridiron decided to grace us with his presence*
Time to stretch those legs, so we mosey’d over to the track. We each rotated through the following:
1 guy running a lap around the track
1 guy doing burpees
1 guy doing LBCs
1 guy doing air squats
1 guy doing pushups
Once the guy that was running completed his lap, we all rotated until everyone had a chance to run
PARTIAL REPEATO – instead of a lap, the runner would run 80yds down and back while everyone else did a burpee/LBC/air squat/pushup and we continued to rotate
We began the LONG mosey to the playground area, when the Q decided that the middle of the parking lot would be a great place to crank out a set of Jack Webb:
1 pushup/2 kneeling air press
2 pushups/4 kneeling air press
3 pushups/6 kneeling air press
4…
5…
4…
3…
2…
1…
Now, back to our regularly schedule mosey…
We arrive at the playground and begin a modified military PT pyramid:
1 pullup…2 pushups…3 LBCs
2 pullups…4 pushups…6 LBCs
We went all the way to 5 pullups…32 pushups…48 LBCs
At this moment, we noticed the school buses leaving, and it’s a good thing…the QIC didn’t have on a watch! We mosey’d back to the cars just in time! No time for Mary
Moleskin
Thank you for letting me lead today gentlemen. This was only my second time, but I felt much more confident than I did the first time around. After a brief hiatus, it felt good to be back out there. I really enjoyed our brief discussion on economic development and crime trends. You all should come visit Indianapolis again. The downtown has truly been transformed over the past decade. I promise to wear a watch next time 🙂

Thick Burger- Sorry I missed it. Looks like you ran a fun one. I ventured over to F3 Garinger to lend it some support and find out what it is all about. Great guys!
