The Hostile Takeover
All All MECA BackblastsFebruary 22nd, 2016
Spring was in the air as 8 men set gathered at the AO. A quick PAX vote determined our trajectory: run the front 9 with painstations at each hole. Off we go!
- Our plan remained in tact until our 9th man @Harding found the group and stole the Q.
- New plan: Bail out after hole 7 and run some neighborhood hills. Up and down Timbergreen then up Hillspring to the finish line.

- Looks like we covered about 3.4 miles as a group… not a bad way to start your week.
- Good numbers today, I hope to see this trend continue as the warm weather comes back.
- Great to see @Hutch back out there in the gloom. Welcome back brother!
- The Ninja award today goes to @Precious for his miraculous recovery after tripping on some uneven concrete. His face did not scrape the pavement, he didn’t lose is pace, and didn’t even skip a beat in the story he was telling. I think everyone saw that going waaay worse.
- It seems like @TheFarm still thinks we might have flat ground to run on in Skywalker… #FalseHope
- So there’s this Healthy Eating Challenge thing going on right now…. Check it out here
- Let the record show that I was not responsible for the 2 ugly hills at the end. I too was a victim of the Hostile Takeover
- Hope you guys had as much fun as me… good work! See you all Wednesday!
PS- Have you guys head of this thing called Sign Up Genius? It’s this brand new website that allows you to sign up to Q at Skywalker. Check it out!!! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f044da5a828a6f58-master

The line between collaborative decision and hostile takeover is always very blurry. Good workout and glad to see a number of people returning to join us…still can’t believe precious’ save this morning
Yeah that was incredible. He literally rolled with it.
@Grinder, I was there for the hills! BUT, I was just curious about whether or not the flat terrain exists at all in that neck of the woods. I still haven’t experienced anything as awful as that Half-Life beatdown we did last year to capture the Ghost Flag…
I remember it well… nothing but hills and burpees. Ouch.
@Farm, next Monday we will bring back the “fab five” hill workout. Our five favorite hills with a brief exercise at top and bottom of each…2x through. We have only done it one other time and it was pouring rain so it will be largely new to all…Hope to see you there
You guys aren’t Murphing on Monday? HC if not.
No good pullup bars = No Murph
