Post Super Bowl GOAT Tribute KB Workout

Cold morning, post Super Bowl, empty CBA lot at 528 – it looked like YHQ (not signed-up but self assigned) was in for a lonely morning, BUT at 529 in rolled Wrong-Way; we debated coffee but chose to challenge the body.  Like him or hate him, 7 superbowls for 2 teams over a few decades makes it hard to argue with the GOAT title.  As such, we invented a post-superbowl GOAT workout which went like this:

Warm-o-rama: running, SSHs (a couple of sets), squats, lunge stretches, merkins, toe touches, etc, etc

The Thang: 2/3 exercises (2 one arm/side then 1 two hand) representing the 2/3 decades the GOAT has won a Super Bowl (2001-2021 = 2/3 decades depending on how you count), 7 reps for 7 superbowls, 2 rounds for number of teams

  • Curl (R/L), upright row
  • Press (R/L), tricep extension
  • Lawnmower (R/L), two-hand press
  • Reverse lunge (R/L), deadlift
  • One-arm swing (R/L), goblet squat
  • one-arm snatch (R/L), merkins

Repeato entire sequence because we were pretty sure Tom Brady doesn’t do just do one round of any exercise

Farmer/overhead carry, W, chest press, low dolly, chest press, American hammer

The Super Bowl did not live up to any of the hype, glad Wrong way was there to Make the best of it this am.  Can’t wait to see Monday numbers pick up again!
