Friday Morning Live!
Well I was not looking forward to being the Q and was hoping no one would show. As I pulled into the park, it was too late. There was Toughskins , Hugo and Chum. Well I thought to myself, I think I can make it through this. Well I hope so! Here comes Rice a roni and Waterboy. I thought to myself, does this need to be a record attendance today?
Well the plan was for us to warm up with SSH, wind mills and grandpa jacks. Plans change. Counting at this time of the morning is, well challenging for me at best. After a lot of laughs we mosyed around the parking lot.
The workout was pretty simple. One Pax(the timer) would “suit case” carry two dumbells; and rest of Pax would perform an exercise from the list:
• Bell swings
• WWII with bells
• Figure 8s
• Russian twists
• Tricep extensions
• Skull crushers
• Dead lifts
Everyone would take turns being the timer and we would repeat.
The workout was full of laughs. An old Yiddish proverb says: “What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul.” Google states Laughter has many benefits which include: lowering blood pressure, reducing stress hormone levels, works abs, improves cardiac health, and produces a general sense of well-being. Who would have known, all we accomplished today?
Going forward it needs to be noted that Toughskins, Chum and Nimbus need to be split up during a workout. They had to be called out by the Q . Lastly, Rice a roni’s motion to the Q that “Silas be the Q every Friday” was denied!
It was a great morning at Metal and truly I am very fortunate to be part of this group, but still passing on the Friday Q motion! Thanks for today!
