At the Mineshaft – which way should we go?
Three Pax and one 2.0 enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the Mineshaft today. YHC was looking forward to covering some ground in the north-west section of the campus as a recon mission for potential Gremlin beat down locations in that area. As always, the Mineshaft AO did not disappoint and we were rewarded with approx. 3 miles for our travels and some tired arms / shoulders as well as the camaraderie and fellowship that is always part of a F3 workout. Here is what we did:
Mosey next door to the parking lot next to tennis courts for:
• Side Straddle Hop (x15, IC)
• Cotton Pickers (x15, IC)
• Low Slow Squat (x15, IC)
• Tempo Merkins (x15, IC)
• Plank Jacks (x15, IC)
• Mountain Climbers (x15, IC)
• Arm Circles (big/small, forward, backward)
Mosey over to the softball stadium – quick run around the bleachers and then:
• Dips (x20, IC)
• Decline Merkins (x20, OYO)
• Incline Merkins (x20, IC)
Then we headed up the trail while stopping for some lunge walk and railing walk (?) to the Light rail overpass and parking deck on Tryon / US29 for a Deuce special:
Start with 10 Squats, run up the steps, over to the middle steps and down for 10 merkins and then over to the parking deck steps and down for 5 burgees. Return to the start point—stopping for 10 merkins and 10 squats at each set of steps.
Mosey up Tryon/ US29 US and back thru campus entrance – stopping at several buildings for box jumps and merkins up and merkins down the steps.
We headed to the football stadium for a quick recover with peoples chair / air press and circled around the stadium but could not find any open gates so kept moving to the Alumni pavilion for Lt Dan with burpees added for good measure.
Next stop – was at the tennis courts, found a tennis ball and moseyed around while playing catch – only 1 drop of the tennis ball so we did 5 burpees then. Stopped for 20 muscle ups while exiting the tennis courts.
Mosey back to the parking lot 7, around the ground floor of the parking deck and back to our starting point.
No time for Mary today.
Countarama, namearama, announcements (Gremlin t-shirt order is up! and Run Run Rudolph in University Research Park on 12/22), closing prayer.
And over to Chik-fi-la for coffeeteria.
Thanks everyone for coming out this AM – this a great AO location with lots to do and always something different each week because it is so spread out.
Always a privilege and honor to lead — appreciate all of the support and fellowship shared today.
