Blob Tag at The Mill
Six men eschewed the warmth of the fartsack and moved bravely into the chilled morning air to get their run on. YHC had planned a bit of shicanery to break the monotony of running the Loop and to keep our eyes on the six. It went something like this.
Mosey around horseshoe to far side and commence Freddie Mercs until six arrived. The Q ran around the horseshoe clockwise while everyone else ran around It counterclockwise. When he met the group he tagged someone who then joined him in the blob running clockwise. They tagged as many as possible at the next meeting of the two groups. This continued until only one pax is left running counterclockwise. This person becomes the new “it” and has to tag someone out of the group. Smart pax used the shadows and darkness of the gloom to avoid being tagged while the poultry among us used hiding and resting to try to sneak up on the pax. About four blobs were formed and whittled down in just over half an hour.
Sencing some boredom setting in, YHC audibled to the parking deck where the pax sprinted a ramp and mosied the flats and a ramp then sprinted a ramp until reaching the top of the deck. We then mosied down the deck and back to Mary. YHC tried to initiate a system for keeping the six involved while faster pax still got a good run in. The rotations did not work as I had planned. Back to the drawing board on that one.
Great run today guys! Sorry we ran late but we got in some decent mileage which varied between the pax but was somewhere around 4.5 miles for most. As always, it was an honor.
