Just wanted to have some fun and act like a kid
All Comanche BackblastsFebruary 25th, 2018
7 Men and 5 2.0’s took off from trusty Lot 7 on a fine Saturday Morning. We moseyed by the Cone Deck, Under the Cone building up the stairs and out into a lovely courtyard. Along the way we started to toss the 2 footballs we had amongst the PAX. If it hit the ground, 10 Merkins.
Circle up for
SSH – 20 IC
Cotton Pickers (with a clap) – 10 IC
Windmills – 10 IC
Low Slow Squats – 10 IC
Mosey to Colvard hall, pausing to show respect to the raising of the flags.
Butt-Kickers through the breezeway. Then high knees, then defensive slide left, then defensive slide right, then quadraphelia.
Time to run the “Stadium Stairs”. Run up the short set of stairs, across the walkway and down the other side. Run back.
Run the High Stadium Stairs. Up to the top, over and down, then back up, over and down.
Mosey toward HWY 49, continuing to toss the football around.
Find a football field layed out with cones and a couple of more footballs, ready to go.
First Drill, pass catching. Run a 5-10 post route and catch the pass. If you miss, 5 burpees. After 3 drops, whole group does 5 burpees. We stopped this after 15 drops.
Next, an angle pursuit drill. Two lines about 10-15 yard apart. One person runs down the sideline (35 yards) and the other tries to get to them before they reach the endzone.
Finally the main event. Split into teams for Ultimate Football. Like Ultimate frisbee but with a football. Scoring team picks an exercise that they do 10 reps of and the team that was scored on does 20 reps and sprints to the other end of the field to receive the next kick-off. Had 5 Merkin penalty for dropped balls, but cut that because it was taking too long. Time ran out on us, which is the only reason YHC’s team didn’t come out victorious.
We were able to EH a passerby, Chuba, as we were playing. We were having too much fun pass up.
Moleskin
– Great times had by all. Good workout too. Ended up over 3 miles (a lot of which was sprinting) with lots of exercises mixed in.
– Great having the 2.0’s out! Amazing how kids can keep us young, while pointing out how old we are 🙂
