So who wouldn’t want to go for a run on a 65 degree late November morning? Apparently the weather made a difference as we had a strong seven for The Satisfaction Cruise. We haven’t done a straight up run in a while, so the Haunted Daycare route it is. The starting gun went off at 5:33 am and the route was something like this:

Leave OES lot and up hill on Moss Farm, RT on Moss Plantation Ave to circle under the shelter at the Haunted Daycare (I don’t think it really is), back down Moss Plantation to LT on Ravenscroft Ln to RT on Alexia to the Greenway and the final mile and a half back to OES.

Nike Running app shows 3.62 miles in 30:17 for an 8:21 pace with Sugar a little ahead of that. Sparknut and Miracle Grow got lost somewhere in Moss Creek but finally found their way back just in time for us to get word that a lady on Moss Farm Rd had a flat tire- could we help? Well of course we can!

So we flagged her down, she pulled into the OES lot, and we got the RT front changed and her back on the track (er, road) before going a lap down. Quickest pit stop in F3 history (just made that up, but might be true). Sparknut and Jimmy Buffet did most of the work while I distracted the owner so they could get ‘er done. The lady thinks someone flattened her tire because she voted for Trump- apparently her neighbors did not support the President-elect and there is a little feud going on…

If any NASCAR team owner is reading this, we are ready to help out if a set of hired guns are needed on the pit crew…you know where to find us but you gotta get up early…

Let’s pray for the folks suffering due to the fires in NC, SC, GA and TN including the firefighters and other emergency responders doing what they do.
