Great idea, let’s run up the big hill again

All All MECA Backblasts

October 22nd, 2016 By Disaster

18 men made a great decision to escape the fartsack and join in on a disastrous beatdown at MCCP this morning. Unfortunately YHC got a little bit carried away with the ladders on the big hill. Here’s how it all went down:

WARMARAMA:

THE THANG:

Mosey to the big hill beside the soccer fields. 6 to 1 ladder with burpees at the top and WW2 situps at the bottom. Bear crawl up the hill for the first three and quadraphelia up for the last three.

Partner up by the bleachers. Partner one runs a lap around the soccer fields while partner two does step ups on the bleachers. Switch off and then repeato X 2.

Back to the big hill for a 12 to 2 ladder with merkins on top and LBC on the bottom. Thankfully no bear crawls or quadraphelia for this one.

Form two lines for an Indian Run to the shelter. Grab some wall/bench for 15 inclined merkins, 15 dips, and 15 declined merkins. Step outside for some People’s Chair with a 15 count. Repeato.

Form two lines for an Indian Run down to the rock pile. Grab a big rock for 10 curls, 10 overhead press, and 10 skull crushers, rotating to the right after each exercise.

Leave the rocks and mosey up to the parking lot by the elementary school for partner suicides. Partner one runs to the first basketball goal while partner two does merkins. Switch off. Then partner one runs to the second basketball goal while partner two does squats. Switch off. Then partner one runs to the third basketball goal while partner three does LBC. Switch off.

Mosey back to the rocks for a second round of arm work. 15 curls, 15 overhead press, and 15 skull crushers, rotating to the right after each exercise. There was a dirty rumor that the ‘Q’ was cheating on this round, but I don’t recall anything about that.

Put the rocks back and mosey up to the top of the hill to the split rail fence. There was almost an audible that the PAX join in with the ladies group for some aerobic step work first, but fortunately cooler heads prevailed. At the fence 15 inclined merkins, 15 dips, and 15 declined merkins.

Mosey back down to the soccer field for another visit to our old friend the giant hill (which was starting to seem a lot steeper and taller than before). 8 to 2 ladder with jump squats at the top and lunges at the bottom. Mosey back to the parking lot for Marry.

  1. Thanks to all of the PAX who showed up today. This was supposed to be my one year anniversary, but technically it was my thirteen month anniversary. Better late than never.
  2. Welcome to FNG Matt. I inadvertently heard his name as “Matt Foley” which is wrong but still led me to believe that his F3 nickname could easily end up being “Motivational Speaker”. I guess he’ll have to come back again to find out. That is unless he’s living in a van, under a bridge, down by the river.
  3. Please remember four year old Austin in your prayers this week, as he is slowly recovering from some pretty severe burns. His parents are friends of @Tugboats. Get well soon buddy.
  4. Also best wishes continue to go out to our friend @Sandman. Glad to hear you are on the mend. We miss you out here.
  5. Don’t forget that Tradition is holding a convergence next Saturday (October 29) at 630AM, followed by breakfast. Please HC if you plan on attending breakfast. Speaker is the former chaplain of the New York Yankees. Details can be found on the weekly email.
  6. A second convergence is planned at MCCP on Saturday, November 5. Red shirts are recommended, although several members of the PAX got a head start on that today. Again, details can be found on the weekly email.
  7. @Skipper, my 2.0’s were thrilled to hear that you were there this morning. Thanks for showing up. Ahoy!
  8. This morning’s @Conchito award goes to @Google and @Pony Boy, who both felt that fifty degrees was much too cold to be showing up without some sort of winter hat. Well done.
  9. I may have missed one of the PAX on the attendance list. My phone ran out of memory right at the end of the circle. Please let me know if I missed anyone and I will add you to the list.

Great job out there today everyone. Sound off below.
