Block around the Clock
All All MECA BackblastsOctober 19th, 2016
Great morning, 62 degrees. I could get used to every morning being like this. TT rolled in at 05:29:50 and we were off.

Warm-a-rama
Mosey through the victory tunnel with some high knees, butt kickers and karaoke, on up to the grassy area on the side of the school. Circle up for:
- SSH x 15
- Cotton Picker x15
- Imperial Storm Trooper x15
- Slow-mill x15
Indian run behind the school over to the cement blocks. Watch the mud puddle! When did it rain last?
The Thang
Idea is to build 4 corners of cement blocks / pain stations, one station at a time. Each grabbed a block and ran/moseyed/fast walked to the teacher’s lot where we did a different exercise, one for each corner.
- curls IC x10
- chest press IC x10
- goblet squat IC x10
- block swing IC x10
Now that game was setup, we’re ready to play. Run lap, stopping at each pain station and do 1 rep. Repeato increasing rep count by 1. Pain stations were:
- Derkins
- Overhead press
- Block burpees
- Block LBCs
Completed 5-6 laps.
Put the game away.
Mosey back to lower lot, Hokey notes how much nicer it is to run without carrying a cement block! Yes! We hit the parking lot lines with a line run, extending each forward run to the next set of parking spaces. Work our way down to the corner for short mosey back to cars.
Mary
Q left little time for Mary, but we squeezed in a little:
- Crunchy Frog x15
Moleskin
Well done gents. Astro Van measured it to be around 2.5 miles, with fair chunk of that carrying the block around. Good to have Mr. Wizard back, and thanks for warning about moving blocks out of teacher’s parking space.
- Keep Highland’s Sandman in your prayers as he is in hospital. Suffered heart attack after Q’ing Tuesday workout. Word is he should be home soon.
- Rolling Stone HDHH at Johnny Brusco’s at Cannon Crossroads, 7pm. All welcome. Beer is good, pizza is good, company is decent.
- Dawg House HDHH for tonight doesn’t sound like it will happen, sound off otherwise.
- Q spots open this week and next.
Aye!

Pleasure to join you all this morning. See you for pizza+beer on Thursday!
@Schnitzel – That sounds like a fun workout (say the guy who slept thru it!) Thanks for leading!
Great workout Schnitzel! Things felt off balance without you Pharoah, but as many miles as you have been logging, you deserve a fartsack. May be out tomorrow night.
