9 men showed at The Valley for YHC’s cruise VQ. R2D2 cruised solo. Major Pain took a leisurely stroll with his M. Six months ago, I would’ve said you were crazy at the thought of me Q’ing a cruise. However, the power of F3 has propelled me to this point, keeping me motivated to run and #getbetter. Thus, pigs have flown with YHC Q’ing a cruise. Thanks to all of you for the inspiration and support to continue running. I feel a little more comfortable each week. Truly appreciate my gloom brothers!
As my legs are still recovering from the Spartan Sprint on Sunday, I promised my #TeamBacon brother, Pongo, a flat run with very few turns an no Greenway. As I am typically the six, I decided on a route that was easily explainable and one that could be “lead” from behind. It was boring and the Pax weren’t too pleased with the lack of creativity, but we got it done.
The Thang:
Left on Mallard Creek Road, Left on Prosperity Church. Head past Tradition AO to Panthersville Drive (near V intersection of Benfield and Prosperity Church and back to Mallard Creek Elementary. Non-cerebral, simple, and boring just like #TeamBacon likes it. 4.4 miles if you did the route as planned, not counting checking on the six.
Moleskin:
1) There was some elitist activity this morning from the #rabbits at the front. They took off and weren’t seen again until near the end. Only The Farm and Gentle Grizzly came back to check on the six. #NotveryTraditionlike. The Farm was feeling himself and talking trash. Had to put him in his short little place. #Nevertalktrashtobaconwhenrunning.
2) Have no clue what went on at the front of the pack. Dingo, Pongo and I were chilling in the back. Dingo and I with legs of stone, and Pongo motoring alongside us. At one point, Pongo flew by us and kept going. He was trying to escape a brief patch of darkness w/ no headlamp.
3) TClaps to R2D2 for doing a solo cruise.
4) Q SCHOOL AT DAVIS LAKE TOMORROW.
5) Tradition on Tap is this Thursday, 7:00PM, at Carolina Ale House. Be there!

I liked the route Buckwheat – Strava says it’s the 3rd time I’ve done it, and apparently I’m getting faster!
Sorry for not checking the six. I wanted to go back, but Brutus was like, “You know what I always say, Screw the Q, let’s keep rolling rabbits!”, and I’m like, well, I always gotta listen to Brutus when it comes to running, so, that’s what I did… #truthnugget

I was actually trying to get six miles in this morning so with that in mind and my new shoes on, I was ready to go! Great 2nd F with @Brutus, @Skipper, @Buckwheat, @Grizzly, @R2D2, @Dingo, and @Pongo. I guess @Trail Mix and @Pleasure were flying…didn’t talk to them much.
Also, I ran around Stonebridge and found a bunch of cinder blocks and no men. Then @Grizzly and I caught them napping on the picnic tables. Not sure what @Maximus is doing over there!
Dang, @Farm and @Grizzly checking on the six AND Tradition. @Farm looked around confused but @Grizzly apparently has eagle eyes to find us hiding.
Maximus stayed up til around 1AM, it was time for a power nap! And then we sat down in the portico for a while. Then laid against the wall upside down. Lots of odd napping positions he chose for us….
Aye. You’re definitely getting faster, Trail Mix. Hanging out w/ Brutus, you’ll be marathoning in no time!
