“Is That Maximus?!”
All All MECA BackblastsSeptember 21st, 2016
The chevy pulled up and Funky says “Is that Maximus?”. I replied “No, Maximus doesn’t do the cruise. If thats maximus I will defecate my pants right here”.
Wel, it was Maximus! I did not spoil my pants. The cries rang out in the Gladiatorian arena “IS THAT MAXIMUS?!” Maximus assured us with “Yes, it is I”. We never saw this one coming! Maximus must have been working out at Tradition for at least 2 years and he has never graced us with his presence at a cruise. I knew that it was my 3/4 mosey warm ups that caused this insane event to happen and I take full credit for turning Maximus into a runner!
10 men showed, some even ran to the cruise. Actually, 6 of the men present ran to the cruise. Great work men! We eventually got over the shock of seeing Maximus and started on our way. OH WAIT!!! Did I mention that Maximus stood there for 4 minutes mumbling “Wheres Pongo? He talked me into this, promised me he would be here, where is Pongo?”. Well Pongo was a no show. But kudos for getting Maximus out to run with us Pongo! How was the Fartsack?
We made a left out of The Valley and had barely run 400 yards and there was Major Pain and his wife, Mrs Pain, standing in the Colvard Park entrance cheering us on! Seriously!! They were cheering and clapping! Lol! And then we heard it again, Major P calls out “IS THAT MAXIMUS??!!”. I didn’t hear it, but he also may have mentioned that he got a rush of blood in the nether regions at the sight of Maximus cruising.
Right onto Mallard Creek Church, Right onto David Taylor.
This is where Man Down tried to become Man Dead. He seems to believe that his crotch light will protect him from anything, including oncoming vehicles. Horns were honking and someone obviously disagreed with the power of the crotch light.
Left onto Claude Freeman, cross MCCR and through to the Fountain Grove entrance and make a left. Left onto Mallard and back to the Valley.
Great work by all!

@Dingo talking about men’s nether region and pooping his pants. Say it ain’t so!
I was not involved in the nether region discussion. I did need to poop.
@Farm fartsacks a cruise and then calls out someone on the BB……..#tgatsneverhappened
Aaah- it was fun. Kudos for @pongo and @ribshack inviting me to a walk/run cruise this am. A big part of F3 is showing up and letting the camaraderie help you achieve what you know is impossible. I have known for the last 1.5 years I can not run 3 miles because my legs will hurt, I don’t have that kind of wind, I’m too old etc. etc. 1.5 years ago I tried to run 3 miles and could not do it so I accepted that and have enjoyed the other beatdowns. Well in the last few months after learning stretching after running from @cardiac my legs have felt better and I thought I’d see if I could walk/run 3 miles when invited today. I was surprised I actually ran 4.5 miles and felt good after!
Thank you all for the encouragement today and @dingo for your leadership.
It is interesting to note that perhaps some of our limits (mine anyways) we put on ourselves are in our minds only. That is a great learning from F3.
Sorry to hear about the nearby confrontations involving the police and the impact on people including @buckwheat who try to make peace.
Thanks men, it was a fun run this morning!
Congrats @Maximus and t-claps to the @Pain family for the encouragement.
#ahoy
Great run this morning! Pre-run with Grizzly discussing concealed weapons, gladiator (aka Maximus) sighting, Major Pain & M cheerleaders, crotch light envy (the guy was honking because he got excited), sprints with Brutus, and a post-run back home to make it a near 9-miler. I’m smoked! Pongo and The Farm were missed. Well, mostly Pongo.
LOL @Man Down re: crotch light envy and Farm not being missed much.
@Maximus- You crushed your first cruise. Well done, brother!
@Major Pain- That was hilarious!
@Dingo- You seem to just know when I am straight struggling and have zero desire to be cruising. Thanks for hanging back w/ me and @Maximus (mostly me) and getting me through it this morning. I was on fumes, felt like crap, and my legs were killing me. You managed to get my mind off all that w/ some good old 2nd F. Thanks, brother!
@Funky Bunch- Making progress bro, that’s great to see. Keep at it and you’ll be back where you were last year in no time!
I don’t know what the rest of you did today because I was so far behind, but I’m sure ya’ll were killing it!
@Pongo- Shame on you, my bacon brother, shame on you….
