Strava Tradition Mile – Challenge for the crown!
All All MECA BackblastsSeptember 19th, 2016
Last night the challenge was sent out. Who would come and try to take the crown? 10 men answered the call and the battle was immense.
Simple route;
1 mile warm up – right out of AO up 1/2 mile, turn around and back to the AO
2nd mile AYG – Sprint the Tradition mile – lets see who is the King!
3rd mile jog – Back up and around
4th mile AYG – Sprint the Tradition Mile(If you still can)
On the second mile, I don’t believe there was a man who didn’t give everything they had! But in the end there can be only one. @Jumanji took the crown and beat the previous crown time by 40 seconds?!
Results(That I could take from Strava)
Crown – Jumanji – 5:26
2nd – Landlord – 5:50
3rd – Skipper – not updated yet
Still missing some of the runners times, but respectable times posted by the following;
Trail mix – 6:34
Forgotten Jelly – 7:00
Dingo – 7:07(yeah you read that right!)
If I remember I’ll update other runners times as they post to Strava, if not, oh well.
That was a bit of fun! I know not everyone is up for these types of challenges, but I encourage you to take them on. Its not really about me Vs you, its ALL about You Vs You! How far can you push your body? How much can you improve week to week, month to month, year to year? Challenge yourself in F3 and it will transfer into your work life, your home life, your everyday. Do not accept mediocrity in any facet of your life.
Good times!

6:48 for me. I can do better. Thanks for the challenge Dingo.
Thanks for the challenge Dingo. Running the tradition mile with you the first time was much easier than running it by myself the second time.
Dang, I really like this concept and need to bring to (Highlands) Speed on Fridays.
