Run at your own pace…
All All MECA BackblastsSeptember 7th, 2016
This morning I challenged myself to get back to running and maybe on the wrong day. I received a few texts from some of the Pax yesterday advising that I should take it easy on the Pax. I don’t know why someone would think I would be difficult to follow on a cruise… I haven’t been here in months, lol. Here’s how it went:
We stretched for a few minutes individually then starting walking towards the hill of horror from the parking lot. After picking up the pace down the hill, we made a left going up the first of many hills (unbeknownst to me). We continued on that path (Devon Croft Greenway Access) until we entered the neighborhood and made a left on Devin’s Croft Lane then a right on Fairmead Lane then a left on Silver Birch. After running down then up a slight hill, we made a left on Mallard Creek then up to Mallard Creek Elementary to complete the circle. I completed this route 4 times and thanks to the Pax, I’m motivated to get back in the groove of cruising again.
I didn’t see all of the Pax during this run except when it was time to pray. I was the 6, lol. We are praying for the “rabbits” as Ribshack calls them, this weekend as they embark on the BRR challenge. I pray all of you complete it without injury.
I also announced that I will be collecting donations for the American Heart Association walk coming up on Sept 24th in uptown. This is a disease that has personally affected my family as my mother has been diagnosed with a form of heart disease. I joined F3 to fight against this and other preventable diseases that has afflicted my family in past generations.

Great seeing the all you runners this morning!Good Luck to you all Saturday, I knew you will make us proud!!
Big thanks to Ribshack for the encouragement to come back to the cruise after such a long hiatus and for running with me this morning. As always, it was a pleasure to lead this morning.
