Rolling Stone Fish Bone
All All MECA BackblastsAugust 17th, 2016
YHC was itching to get back out into the gloom after 4 days off. Verona chimed in with a last minute text that he overslept, but on the way (still beat Sugar). The faithful 5 arrived and after brief discussion, continued with the crowd-pleaser – the newly named “Rolling Stone Fish Bone” … since obscure animal parts seem to be the current trend for running workout names. Dang- disclaimer failure!
So leave the AO and head down the greenway; take each leg to cul de sac and back; pax choice for each pain station. Stop for pain at:
1st bridge
2nd bridge
Pavilion
Marquette St. leg
Peer
Astoria Ln. leg
Bridge 3
Between bridge 4 & 5
Alexia Ct. leg
Pain included but was not limited to: Windmill, Incline Rail Merican, 50 of Milkbone’s famous WWII sit-up’s, Sumo squats, ballerina squats (or something), Air press, Burpee, LBC, 25 of Milkbone’s famous WWII sit-up’s, Merican
So it was a total of 18 pain stations, and by Runtastic, 3.39 miles @ 11:39 pace (pain stations included with time)

Ascension Parish in Louisiana is still mostly under water. Many of my friends who thought flooding would never be an issue, and thus have no flood insurance, now have a foot of water in their house.
We are setting up a Go Fund Me this morning for anyone who would like to contribute. I am also planning to take my family down on Saturday to assist with clean-up efforts. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to come help or make a financial contribution. I will post the Go Fund link in the comments as soon as it’s up.

I’m so thankful that I have the blessing of spending my early morning with you men. While many are suffering like the folks in Louisiana, or others simply don’t have the physical ability to do so, we get to enjoy testing our bodies to a point few ever do and spend a few minutes fellowshipping with some great men. Not a bad start to the day. It’s definitely worth the effort of the early start. You are some strong dudes. Everyone worked really hard this morning.
*Nice to see Verona’s consistency. I think you’ve become a regular at RS. Keep up the good work. You kept a solid pace this morning.
*Sugar was a man on fire this morning! I don’t know who was chasing who. You made me work hard.

Solid effort today for sure- hot and humid and a wicked pace between pain stations.
Praying for the folks in Louisiana.
Until next time.
Thanks for the kind words @Sparknut. It didn’t feel like I was on fire, I mean parts of my body did and not in a good way!
Agreed regarding Verona. He’ll soon be making us all look bad. Solid effort , @Marie! Not easy coming back from time off! I’ll b there next Tue and just hope to do as well as you’ve been doing!
Solid 5! It almost felt crowded! Still need a few more.
Good job on the flood relief effort! ‘A fit and friended man looks outward……’ Travel safe and share some F3 love!
