100/1000 Burpee Beatdown – Rolling Stone

All All MECA Backblasts

August 9th, 2016 By Sparknut

Some called in sick and some caved to the fartsack (not calling out anyone from my clowncar), BUT 9 courageous ROLLING STONE pax (not calling out surrounding MECA pax) took the challenge. There were only 2 in the Odell Elem parking lot at 0525, but in traditional RS fashion, they came pouring in 0528 to brave the burpee beatdown.

MOSEY to the head of the green way for SSH x 15 IC
INDIAN RUN to the bus lot
Windmill x 15 IC
180 deg Jump Squat x 10 OYO
Imperial Squat T. x 10 IC
INDIAN RUN track

THE THANG

All pax line up at the 100 meter line on the track, drop for 10 burpees, run 100 m, drop for 10 more burpees, run back to the start for more burpees …you get the idea
Repeato until the first 3 pax complete 100 burpees and 1000 meters

MOSEY back to the bus lot and partner up for a grinder
Line up across the middle of the bus lot facing the middle school
P1 run to the curb and back while
P2 performs the following calisthenics continuing in relay form:
Combined totals of:
-100 Merkins
-200 Air squats
-300 LBC

MARY …I couldn’t believe we still had time for Mary

-Cruise tomorrow. Still looking for a name for the greenway beatdown (comb, pick comb, fish bone, lizard)

-Back to school. Pray for teachers and students
-Sugar’s mom’s friend had a stroke and not doing well

MOLESKIN:
-Thank you brothers for your accountability and hard work. This workout always takes it out of me. It is a true test of stamina and heart. Not fun, just a grueling beatdown as you do burpee after burpee and run after run. You men answered the call! Well done.
-Props to Palin, Sugar, and Whatley, who were the first to complete the 100/1000. Palin you didn’t miss a beat after being out for a while #crushedit
-Verona, keep it up ole boy. You’re doing great!
-Schnitzel & Stretchy, always pushing hard and leading through example
-Sourdough, man you’ve come a long way!
-Blindside, great to see you back! Stay at it brother

  1. @Sparknut, nice workout, I especially liked the 10 count, that was a good call.
@Palin/@Sugar/@Whatley, thanks. We’d still be there waiting for me to do 100 burpees.
@Blindside, strong comeback. I took a few months off the winter before last, and its hard to get back. I still don’t know why the Tuesday I did come back, was any different than the many prior Tuesdays that I told myself that I would come back, but didn’t. The first one back is by far the hardest, just to get out of bed and come. Come Thursday and you’re good to go!

  2. Job well done men! I have somehow managed to miss (cough cough) the two times the 100/1000 Challenge. One of these days, hope to partake. Good to see @Palin and @Blindside back in the saddle. Missed you guys. Will be outthere Thursday for the Ruck and Friday for the KB.

    See you in the gloom

  3. The most tired part of my body is my lungs! Not sure how I’ll top that Tuesday but I’m dang sure going to try!

    Well done Sparknut!

  4. I hate burpees…guess I have to do more

@Skywalker – I’ll make sure you get an earlier invitation to our next Burpee-fest

  5. Wow. Sorry I missed this one. Tried to eh my boss but no dice.

    1. I don’t know @Waterboy, I think the only reason you’d be sorry you missed this one is if you enjoy profuse sweating, chest pains, elevated heart rate and shortness of breath. With those symptoms, its either time to call 9-1-1 or time for Mary.

  6. Sounds like I did a smart sack!!!!!
