Let’s Find Some Rocks and Logs to Play With

Two weeks ago, YHC Q’d the workout at the Smokehouse with the intention of getting back to the nature center play area to make use of the stacks of logs and rocks back there.  Unfortunately, I got distracted many times on the way there and when we finally got there we didn’t have time to use the coupons. Not so today, we didn’t even hang around the parking lot for warmup.  3 pax headed out to find something to lift.

Warmup

Mosey down the trail that parallels the main road and circle up at the first disc golf tee we see.

  • SSH x20
  • Windmill x10
  • Imperial Squat Walker x15
  • Merkin x10
  • Mountain Climber x10

The Thang

Mosey down the road towards the nature center making a couple stops along the way.

Stop 1

  • Air Squats x20
  • Merkin x10

Stop 2- Three stations: complete the station exercise then run to the next station.

  • Station 1: 10 Merkins
  • Station 2: 20 Air Squats
  • Station 3: 30 LBCs
  • Repeato circuit x4

Arrive at the nature center playground and find a rock or log coupon in the creative materials section.

  • Curls x15
  • Golden Arches x10
  • Horizontal hold~ 30 seconds
  • Overhead Press x10
  • Merkins x10

Mosey to the circle of benches. Bear crawl across the benches without touching the ground. Repeato the circle x2.

Mosey back to cars adding in Lunges up the hill.  Round trip to the nature center and back: 2 miles.

  1. Great work out there guys!  Tin Man has markedly improved after just four or five Saturday workouts.
  2. Thick Burger- Enjoyed 2nd F coffeeteria as usual.
