Have blocks, will travel

All All MECA Backblasts

June 28th, 2016 By Forgotten Jelly

10 men came together this morning for a Jelly and Buckwheat led beatdown. As Belding pointed out, Dingo was supposed to be the Q today, but because of a new tattoo yesterday, he asked us to help him out. Farm had also indicated that he would help, but he was “tired” this morning.

Warm-up
– SSH X 10
– IST X 10
– Cotton Pickers X 10

The Thang
Jelly’s up first
– Each of us grabbed a block and carried it over our heads as we walked over to the church
– 10 curls IC
– Walked to other side of church
– 10 Tricep extensions IC
– Line up for Indian run into Winchester with blocks
– Stop at Dutch’s house for 20 chest presses
– mosey to corner of Armitage and White Cascade
– 10 shoulder presses
– walk down Armitage with block over your head
– stop for 20 low flutters with block over your chest
– run up Armitage with block over your head, stop at Funky’s house, and stack the blocks
– LBC’s while we wait for the six

Buckwheat’s turn
– keep running toward Dingo’s house
– stop at next intersection for 20 squats (Buckwheat really wanted to work on lower body)
– run a bit
– Lunge walks to next intersection
– 5 burpees, sprint to cul-de-sac and back, 5 burpees
– Mosey back to blocks
– pick up blocks for 1 to 5 Jack Webbs (So these totally sucked! Thanks Buckwheat)

Jelly’s turn again
– walk down hill with block over your head (Buckwheat pointed out that this was harder after the Jack Webbs. I second that!)
– walk up hill to island at intersection of Armitage and White Cascade with block over your head
– 10 cinder block merkins
– line up for Indian Run back to church with blocks (This lasted a few minutes. By this time I think a lot of us were pretty worn out. I’m just glad we all made it back. )
– Put up blocks
– LBCs while waiting for the six

No time for Mary.

Tired Moleskin
– I hope everyone enjoyed this on-the-fly beatdown. As I said in the announcements, @Dingo asked us last night to help him out. All I knew was that I wanted to use the cinder blocks and that we would travel. For some reason that idea popped into my head and I thought it would be fun. It wasn’t as much “fun” as I thought it would be, but I hope you guys enjoyed it. I know I’m worn out.
– I’m pretty certain I left some things out above. That’s what happens when you make it up as you go.
– I noticed that @Royal killed it at the end. He came running by a few of us screaming let’s go guys.
– Thanks for your help this morning @Buckwheat!
– Thanks for your counting skills @Belding. I thought it was hilarious that it freaked out Buckwheat that you kept turning around looking at everyone.
– Last, thanks to @Sensei for taking us out.

  2. Thx Jelly for a very difficult beatdown. No where to hide carrying the block all around!
