Hills, Ducks and Dogs
All All MECA BackblastsJune 8th, 2016
12 men posted for a good, hill-filled run through the ‘Burg.
The thang:
Head down Main St, left on Roberta, cross Roberta onto Parallel Dr. Continue down Parallel all the way to Morehead, cross Morehead to pick up on Valhalla. Right on Williams, and at the hill:
Hill repeats, up and down, 4-6 times, depending on your speed.
Head back the way we came…down Williams, left on Valhalla, cross Morehead, take Parallel all the way to Roberta. Cross Roberta, left on Physicians Way, left on Kee, left on Main St, end at our new spot in front of (the former) Sport Junction.
We got in right around 5 miles, which is strong work men when you factor the hills.
Moleskin:
1. The name of this BB comes from the family of ducks that dared to cross our path in the road, and the numerous dogs that weren’t happy to see us. Especially one named Molly.
2. Nothing fancy today, but that was a tough one – those hills are good BRR prep, even though they’re tiny compared to some we’ll be conquering.
3. Tclaps to everyone for those hills, but especially Minnow and Strapless, you guys looked BRR-ready out there.
4. Hang in there Titleist, sorry the knee has been giving you trouble lately.
5. Wendell Horton, AKA “Hears a Who” (great name, by the way) had a strong showing. Learned he ran track and CC in high school – he looked the part! Welcome and keep coming out!
