Spring Break Prep Including a Little Heavy Lifting
All All MECA BackblastsMarch 25th, 2016
12 Pax, including one FNG and a few Dawg House originals descended upon MeCa’s newest AO for a pre spring break beatdown at the hands of YHC. Thanks to @The Farm and @ Rib Shack for meeting me a little early this AM to come check out this expansive AO which presents a whole lot of opportunities for #pain. This was a rare Weinkeless Q for YHC. I’ll do my best to recount what happened below.
For the record, @The Farm has been on time every day this week for beatdowns and was even early a few times. However, we still had to do “The Farm Mosey” (short mosey to allow late-comers to catch up) to the next lot over. @The Farm is just glad it was not him we were waiting on for once.
Warm-o-rama:
SSH X15IC
Windmill X10IC
Cotton Picker X10IC
Low Slow Squat X10IC
Mountain Climber X10IC
Merkins X10IC
Mosey to baseball fields. Stop at first fence and bear crawl to the end of double fence (on left). AYG to next light pole. Repeato back. Mosey to bleachers for 20 step ups (each leg). Grab some wall and do 10 derkins followed by 10 incline merkins (Repeato X3). Air squats until six is finished.
Very short mosey to the railroad ties. While were exploring this AO earlier, we looked at these and I noted how heavy they were. @The Farm took that to mean we would not be lifting them today. Sorry bro, it’s Spring Break next week. Let’s do a few curls! In teams of three, do 10 curls. Okay, so I’ll admit that the railroad ties are not really conducive to curls #Qfail. Nonetheless, we did them anyway.
Mosey to tennis courts for a three court suicide.
Mosey around back of courts. Oh look, there’s another set of bleachers. Dick Tracy asked to pick them up and throw em instead of doing more derkins. Sorry bro, don’t want to get kicked out of this AO in the first month! Do 10 derkins and then partner up for 20 partner throw downs and 10 partner pull ups (each arm). Once everyone has done throw downs and pull ups, line up for the pax favorite Tunnel of LOVE. I spared the pax here as we only did one time through the tunnel.
Mosey over to the Big As@ Tires. Line up at each tire (3 at each). First person in line does three tire flips which second person does AMRAP burpees. Third person does AMRAP squats. Rotate through each station twice. Now those are some tire flips!
Long mosey back to main lot. Stopped half way for some LBC’s while waiting for the six. Finish mosey to parking lot nearest Pitt School Road. Sprint to island and do 20 curb dips. Sprint back to other island for 20 incline merkins on the curb. Sprint back to island for 20 more curb dips. Mosey back near cars for MARY.

1) Thanks for the opportunity to lead this morning, men. I really like this AO and will be back often. There is a lot of potential here!
2) Welcome FNG Brandon. I thought we were gonna have some merlot spillage there at the end, but you held it in. Way to push yourself today. We have all been through what you felt today. Don’t be discouraged. Keep coming back, you will get stronger!
3) Nice to meet you Mr. Wizard, Sour Dough, Big Blue, Spackle, and BBQ.
4) Hootie, well… You’re just Hootie. Thanks for adding a little mumble chatter today!
5) Rib Shack and BBQ were killing the sprints at the end. Well done brothers.
6) Good to see you again, DT and Pharoah.
7) Saturday bootcamps are available at Harrisburg Park and Mallard Creek Park at 7AM. There is a special 6AM Easter beatdown at Mallard Creek Park tomorrow as well.
8) White Lightning beatdown 0530 on Mondays.
9) Thanks for bringing us home at the end, Pharoah.
10) Thanks again The Farm and Ribshack for starting a little earlier than normal and joining me for pre-beatdown surveillance.
11) Safe travels and Happy Easter everyone.

@Pharoah- what a great AO! I thought The Ridge was big but your’s takes the cake. Now you can tell @Gamma your’s is bigger & it actually be true!
@Buckwheat- awesome beatdown. You had the Q Syndrome & were on fire today, thanks for the lead!
@The Farm- I just realized something, why the heck do you get a “The” in front of your name? Whatever, good 2nd F today! 🙂
Good to see @BBQ again. Took a year for 1st but 2x in one week is progress!
@Hootie- dude……yeah, ok, good times! LOL
What I’m named after is called “THE Farm!”
I am not sure if I’ve ever prepared for a weinke-less Q. Seems like an oxymoron. However, this was a good one! I feel like it’s hard to go wrong with this AO and that’s only from the little bit that I saw.
@Pharaoh, this AO is going to be amazing. Can’t wait to see how it grows.
@Mr. Wizard, EH your male co-workers but remember…don’t tell them about the railroad ties.
@Hootie, you were actually quiet compared to what I’ve experienced in the past. No more singing at beatdowns?
@BBQ, @Ribshack really wanted me to come to The Ridge yesterday to experience your beatdown but I had other responsibilities. Next time you’re up, if I’m free I am there. And I’ll bring @Ribshack with me.
@Brandon, strong work this morning. Glad your wife got you out there and you’ll be glad too if you keep coming back. F3 is amazing in so many ways. It’s hard to explain. You have to experience it yourself.
Also, don’t forget F3 Dads is April 9th at 9am at Davis Lake!
It is a great AO, @Buckwheat. Nice work, @Pharoah. I’ll be back!
