The Disgruntled Q

All All MECA Backblasts

January 16th, 2016 By Tumbler

18 of Harrisburgs infamous came out to see what they could see. I am sure seeing that Tumbler was the Q they knew they were in for miles of running at break neck speeds.

Warm up:
Mosey to the lower lot for warm up, on the way picking up Sundial, who was getting there on his “on time”.
A Disclaimer was given that would come in to play later.
SSH X 15
Windmills X 15
IST X 15
Jack Webb 1 merkin to 2 air presses – up to eight as the Harrisburg notorious counting skills started to take over.

The Thang:
Mosey to the Library parking lot.
5 Carolina Dry Docks -> Def slide to the first Peninsula 10 CDD -> def slide to steps 15 CDD-> def slide to second peninsula 20 CDD -> back to start 25 CDD.
Sprint back to the steps.
Repeat stations with Squats.
Once back at the stairs form two lines and Cackalackachoochoo back to the original starting position. About here is where the disclaimer became important. Man down, but no man left behind.
As our disclaimer rested his ankle, repeat stations with LBC.
Oh he needs a little more time, that’s ok let’s try something new.
Merkin Slalom -everyone goes through twice.
Mosey to Soccer Field hill for a little ladder
10 Burpees at the bottom, 10 WWII at the mid level, 10 Dips at the top back down hill
Repeat 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. If you finished earlier continue with sets of 3.
Two Indian run lines for a trip and a half around the track. Mosey back to pick up disclaimer and to the play ground.
Find a bench 10 step ups, 10 incline merkins, 10 decline merkins
Repeat with 8 and 6. Since someone thought they had figured out a pattern stop and mosey to Mary.

Mary:
LBC X 15
Low Dolly X 15
The W X 15
Crunch Frog X 15 (solo Cup)
The Squirm X 15
Reverse Crunch X 15

Moleskin:
* Thanks for making me lead, I mean allowing me to lead … Gamma.
* A few new exercises out there today: the hootie- where two people stand and talk about the BRR while everyone around them is working. The Bus stop-instead of using the bench to do dips, one sits there to watch others do dips.
* A speedy recovery to Chaos’ ankle.
* BRR spots are still available.
* Harrisburg 5K is coming up on April 9th.
* Mud Run – start thinking about teams now, it will be here soon.

  1. Thanks for coming out and playing today guys. Next time we will get on a field, but could you just imagine the whining that would have gone on from one “Solo” person if we had gotten wet.

    1. Great lead Tumbler! Excellent workout too, still feeling it. Thanks to @Clueless for the words for encouragement, very much appreciated. Sundial, Blue Ridge huh? Now you got me thinking, not a good thing. Keep pushing!!

  2. Great lead bud and Dry as a bone! We left a BRR spot open for you on the 12, went ahead and signed you up. You’re welcome

  3. Don’t lie, you enjoyed yelling at us. Only thing missing was the whistle. Seriously, great workout – tried some new things and kept the pace moving. Even more impressive was the fact that much of it was an audible (gotta keep @SoloCup dry). May have to sign you up more often!

@Chaos – hope the ankle feels better.

Have to point out that @Diesel was behind on the Indian Run only because he stayed back to finish out the hill ladder. Strong work, brother.

Prayers for @FlipPhone and family as they deal with their loss.

  4. Dang, wish I could have been there @Tumbler. Looking forward to your next Q!

  5. Sorry @Chaos ’bout the ankle.
    Wish I was there!
