Pre Army PFT Assessment
All All MECA BackblastsNovember 5th, 2015
9 Stoners showed up in the drizzly wet gloom for preview of Army PFT part 2, coming to an AO near you next week. FNG Patrick arrived promptly at 5:30am, and we thought maybe he was looking for directions to the Dunkin Donuts. Turns out, due to some encouragement from M, he was really looking for Rolling Stone. Welcome!
Disclaimer
Mosey to upper parking lot with some butt kickers, toy soldiers and inch worm merkins thrown in for a few laughs.
- SSH x20

Thang
This little get-your-blood-moving was introduced by Skipper many moons ago (#SiriusFlashback) where partner 1 runs a star pattern in the parking lines of the lot. Starting at the cross hairs, run sideways along line to next crosshairs and back to center, then left diagonal and back, straight ahead and back and so on. Could call it a star suicide. Partner 2 studies odd running pattern of P1 while doing burpees. Switch roles after partner 1 runs one circuit, and then repeat so each partner gets 3 changes to figure it out.
Mosey to enclave (site of last PFT) where same partners engage in army style situps x20, taking turns keeping feet well grounded. Each partner then does 20 merkins. Run to enclave on other side of school by playground for 20 more of each.
Back to dragon enclave for 10 more of each, repeato.
Peoples Chair x20, with can can (or is it kan kan?).
Balls to the Wall (10 count roughly).
Peoples Chair x20 with air press.
Balls to the wall.
Mary
W x15
Box Cutter Flutter x15 each
Homer to Marge (or some variation therein)
Mason Twist x20
Circle of pain
LBCs x20
Moleskin
Lots of energy today, maybe its Panthers big win, cooler weather, everybody getting stronger. I really enjoy the group and look forward to many more years in the gloom with you all. Keep Whatley in prayers with possible job change in the balance as well as his friend and coworker Jason who has been diagnosed with cancer, at age of 40, with 2 little girls.
Skywalker
Just down road, has Wed, Fri boot camps, but is now adding a Monday workout, with emphasis on cardio. Sounds interesting, lots of hills there.
Aye!

Law Dawg and I represented Rolling Stone at Skywalker yesterday so I passed on this morning- looking forward to the PFT, Schnitzel!
Hate that I missed this morning, I had every intention (even had clothes laid out) but had a brain fart and forgot to set the earlier alarm. Tuesday’s absence was credit to the absolute tail kick I got last Thursday but alas, I’m recovered and ready for more next week.
Well done @Schnitzel Welcome Patrick! See you Tuesday!
