All Hands On Deck

F3 Saturday Cleanup Day – Preliminary plan of attack:

  1. We have a list of 30+ homes that have requested our help, but if you know someone with a specific need, please fill out the form here:
  2.  Break volunteers into teams of 8-12
    3. Assign teams specific tasks
    4. Dispatch teams, they report back when task complete and get a new assignment
    5. Teams on the ground report back if reinforcements needed
    6. Food/water will be provided to teams in the field

“No plan survives first contact with the enemy.”

“We cannot do everything, but we can do something.”

F3 Nation:

Your response to the flooding in Columbia has been nothing short of miraculous. Supplies and cash — more than $35,000 at this point — have poured through our channels. Your generosity is duly noted and greatly appreciated.

Many of you have asked about traveling to Columbia to help with actual physical labor. We are organizing Saturday, October 10th, to address needs, and we are requesting any and all pax in F3 Nation who want to assist. This will be dirty, nasty, back-breaking work (just like we like it!). You will need good shoes or boots that can get wet, work gloves, long pants or jeans. You might also want to bring a dust mask, and I recommend throwing a dry change of clothes into your ruck. Much of the work will be furniture moving and tear out of drywall in attempts to literally save homes. Wrecking bars, small crowbars, flat shovels are good tools to bring. Bleach, bottled water, heavy duty trash bags, and small boxes are also in heavy demand.

The need is tremendous and the situation is fluid (pardon the pun). At this point (noon on Wednesday) we do not know where the exact need will be. For the time being, we will plan to muster at AC Flora High School on Falcon Drive at 9am on Saturday morning. AC Flora is the home of our Battle workout and has been a shelter/distribution site since Sunday morning. THIS LOCATION MAY CHANGE AS NEEDS CHANGE, so please refer back here or follow @F3Columbia on Twitter.

You may still donate financially to the GoFundMe site here:

We are overwhelmed by your giving of time, effort, money, and stuff. See you Saturday.

No joke about the dust mask. I got a nasty lung infection doing mud outs and tear outs after Katrina on the gulf coast. I was told to wear a mask but didn’t. Learn from my stupid mistakes, not your own.

Sway – Pax from F3 Isotope will be there on Saturday. I will be in touch to give you an idea of how many. I know we have 3 so far.

Are there any plans to organize clean up crews during the week? Weekends are hard with family commitments. Easier for me to take a PTO day and drive down from CLT.

Won’t be able to make it, but sending down supplies with my Tradition brothers. Will work on organizing another trip down soon. Good luck
