27 of us showed up on a cool September morning to see how quickly we could complete 100 burpees.

The Thang:

Mosey to back of Middle School for warmup

10 SSH

10 Merkins

10 Cotton Pickers

Mosey to baseball field

Welcome to the burpee challenge.  100 Burpees for time.  12 minute max

Mosey to RF – 1 minute Air Force Situps

Mosey to LF – 1 minute Merkins

Circle up for Progressions.  10 to 1.  SSH, Squats, LBC and Merkins

Mosey back for Mary.  Iron Cross challenge.


I have been curious how long it would take me to do 100 Burpees.  I do not like Burpees but figured at some point I needed to know the answer.  Today was the day to find out.

After the burpees everything hurt.  Hip Flexors went during the situps.  Merkins for a minute was rough and squats during progressions were difficult.

Good job on the Iron Cross.  Group lasted longer that I expected.

Little colder this morning. Saw a few long sleeve shirts,  Conchito shows up in long sleeve shirts, pants and a hat.  Can’t wait to see what he wears when it is 20 degrees outside.

    @ Pax – Who was the first to complete the burpee challenge today and do we know how quickly they completed it? Took me 10:30 to complete. Too slow. Will have to do it again at some point.

    I saw one of the other MECA locations talking about a HEC (Healthy Eating Challenge)… does Highlands do any of these?

    Remember a year ago when Bootstrap tried to have the pax do 100 burpees straight up and there was a mutinity!!
