Crisp Circle of Pain (with a theme!)

As I pulled into the parking lot at 5:29am (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it), I noticed the numbers were significantly less than I’ve grown accustomed to seeing at Davis Lake.  Some men are on the IR, others are dealing with life, while others are just MIA and ignoring my tweets (you know who you are).  One quote I remember someone using last year is, “Don’t be that man that fartsacks during the colder months, comes back, and finds that the men that continued to post now seem like mutants!  Continue to post and be one of those mutants!”  This will be my 2nd F3 winter and I will say I made HUGE fitness gains during the colder months last year and hope to do the same this year.

6 soontobespring2016mutants posted and completed an extended COP that went something like this:

1) Shout out goes to FNG Scott who hung with us for the majority of the COP. You probably have heard this from @Amoeba and will hear it again…the workouts don’t get easier but you will get stronger. You’ll be surprised by the progress you make in a short amount of time…if you continue to post. So…see you Thursday?

2) Thanks to @Amoeba for coming out to support your FNG. I’d heard your name mentioned a few times by @Moses…I promise, all good things. And yes, I do enjoy a good upper body beatdown (among other types of beatdowns that I also enjoy)!

3) @Piston rejoined us this morning…sort of. Somewhere during the last set of manmaker mericans, a man emerged from the shadows. Said man was wearing a cast on one hand and holding a coffee cup in the other. This is not the spa @Piston…this is F3! Seriously though, welcome back and glad to see you still moving.

4) @King Julian keeps complaining about how bad his gloves smell. I’m wondering how long it will be before he asks one of us to smell them. I think he’s hoping we’ll ask. We won’t!

5) Hey @Bronco!  I thought you said you would never post during the weekdays?!  You’ll be completing 6 packs before you know it!  #ISI

6) Finally, if you wanted to know what the theme was, you had to #showtoknow.

Announcements:

1) Mud Run registration has been extended to Oct 3.
2) Beatdown this weekend at Billy Graham Library. Email Postfontaine (reference the email I sent yesterday) if you want to participate. Breakfast will be covered for all F3 men.

Good job men!

Hey, I was NOT carrying a coffee mug, I had been walking in the dark and cold for 40 minutes to get to you. All uphill, and ice covered roads…

    Schultz… what up dude?

False @Dingo! The burpees were part of the theme. I am saving a special burpee beatdown for a Q at #Tradition. The pax are scared and they don’t even know it yet!
