MD’s 42nd Birthday Beatdown Party

6 partygoers made YHC’s day by showing for his 42nd birthday beatdown party. I’m a year older, maybe a little wiser, but still not a professional, so the disclaimer was announced and we got this party started…right?

Appetizers and Drinks:

  • Mosey around island
  • 21 SSH, 21 IST, 21 Sleepy Cotton Pickers, 21 Mountain Climbers, 10 Burpees OYO
  • Mosey down into the Farmlands (Avon Farm hill of death)
  • 21 SSH (42 total), 21 IST (42 total), 21 Mountain Climbers (42 total), 10 Burpees OYO
  • AYG back up the hill, through the Prison Yard (tennis courts), and to the Big Yard (field)

Cookout (smokin’ the muscles!):

  • Tabata (4 rounds, 2 exercises): Merkins & Jump Squats
  • Prison Wall for 21 Muscle Ups
  • Bear Crawl across Big Yard
  • Great Wall of Wellington for 21 Muscle Ups
  • Tabata: CDDs & Jump Lunges
  • Over to Gun Range for 42 Ladder: Dips & Pull-ups (up to 20 & 10 respectively)

Cake (Mary):

  • Back over to Prisoner Check-in
  • Low Flutters x21 (double-count = 42 total)
  • Low Dolly x21 (double-count = 42 total)
  • Crunchy Frog x21 (double-count = 42 total)

Thanks for coming out to celebrate with me guys! And thanks to all my F3 brothers for helping my 42nd year be the most consistent one in my life as far as physical fitness is concerned! As you go into your day, remember Psalm 116:7“Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.” All too often we wear “busyness” like a badge of honor, little realizing that our frenzied pace is a recipe for burnout and a sign that we aren’t trusting in our Lord. Listen to His call to rest in Him. Be still and know that He is God.

    I had 2 more rounds of 11 burpees each planned for us to get us to 42, but totally forgot about them. Feel free to do them OYO right now if you feel so inclined. 🙂

    Sorry I missed your beatdown this morning @ManDown. I tried to wake up, but the fartsack got the best of me. Love the Muscle Ups, bear crawl, muscle ups combo!! Aye!

    Nice beatdown Man Down – that tabata makes for a slow 4 minutes… You may be getting older, but we’re all still trying to chase you up that hill!
