Horse lead a strong workout today. After the first couple of exercises, he stopped. “A lot of us do not know how to count!” He proceeded to provide detailed instructions, announced that we would rotate leaders until everyone had it. After a demonstration, we started to alternate leaders, stopping to correct mistakes until everyone had a passable turn.
The biggest problem was not saying one, two, three. It was: The Next Exercise is ___________; Starting Position, Move; In Cadence, Exercise; and, signaling the end of repetitions by changing the inflection of the voice – generally louder. Not a problem for linear thinkers. It took awhile for the non-linear, creative thinkers.
Sorry to be late. I have been sick. See you all Saturday when our Conductor will be chugging up from Charleston to show us what he has learned there. Old Brick!
