Intersections of fun

10 men rolled out of the fartsack to enjoy the wonderful temperatures and have a run/burpee around town. Basically, it was stop and do 5 burpees at each intersection. For those who like specifics…

Head down Main St — right on Roberta — left at Rocky River Crossing Rd — 5 burpees at Creekview intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Heartwood intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Crest Line intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Sedgewood intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Maple Crest intersection –continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at The Meadows intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Willow Glen intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Stony Brook intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Granite intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Pecan Valley intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Hickory Hollow intersection — continue on RR Crossing — 5 burpees at Maple View intersection — left on Morehead — 5 burpees — left on Patricia — 5 burpees – continue on Patricia — 5 burpees at Oakside intersection — continue on Patricia — 5 burpees at Ridge intersection — continue on Patricia — 5 burpees at Autumn Lane intersection — left on Autumn Dr intersection — 5 burpees – continue on Autumn — 5 burpees at Spring Court intersection — continue on Autumn — 5 burpees at Woodside intersection — continue on Autumn — 5 burpees at Parallel intersection — left on Parallel — 5 burpees at Candystick intersection — continue on Parallel — left on Roberta — right on Main St – back to home base.

All in all, we did 23 sets of 5 burpees, totaling 115!
We clocked between 3.5 – 3.75 miles.

Moleskin:

1. Was that Starsky who drove by in the neighborhood and honked?
2. Still waiting on someone to go bang on Hootie’s door…
3. Great work men, and way to push through the mumble-chatter!
4. Great seeing the newer F3 guys posting consistently…they say it takes 7 times to make a habit…
5. Check the PAX for me – forgot to jot down the names and didn’t want to miss anyone.

  1. Hootie

That was a Hootie honk. Strong showing out there this AM. Impressive mob coming up the street. I like it.

  2. Gamma

Nice lead, @SunDial. Admittedly, I didn’t even do the last couple sets of burpees, but it still sucked.

We got two honks this morning – the aforementioned Hootie drive-by, and what we believe was @BBQ’s friend in the pick-up. I think he’s stalking us.

@Capri – nice meeting you this morning. The Burpee-Jacks were impressive. Already looking forward to your first lead.

@SSMinnow – sorry, tried to back you up on the first Space Station sighting, but had to bail on you when it started crop-dusting. The second sighting was legit, though.

  3. SoloCup

Nice lead @SunDial…this one really levels the field.

@Capri, Burpee Jacks are a thing now, congratulations.

@Gamma, I had your back with @BBQ’s “buddy.” I ready to give him a piece of my mind if he ever pulls over.

@SSMinnow, glad I finally got to see the Space Station. Truth be told I was ready to go with you with the first sighting. Who am I to say that the thing doesn’t have red blinking lights?

I missed the burpee jacks…will have to see those demo’d…I nominate Solo Cup to show me 100 one morning.

And yes, I did have to level the group out with burpees, because you’re getting too darn fast out there, Solo Cup!

  4. SSMinnow

@Sundial…lots of intersections meant lots of burpees, and running too…good workout

@Swami…thanks for vindicating me on the space station sighting with your eagle eye…should have known it would be too far away to see blinky lights…..#itsaspecinthesky…..fyi, here’s the link where I got my scoop…http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/

  5. Swami

Good stuff SunDial… I think it might have taken you longer to write all the details into the backblast as to run the 3.5 miles…. How long did you spend on that?
@minnow… Thanks for the space odyssey.
