The Chicken Farm Vol. I

A few weeks ago, I received an unexpected notification from signupgenius informing me that I had been signed up to lead today.  At first I was confused and then remembered an email I’d received a month prior (sign up or be signed up!) and it all became clear.  @Dingo was not going to let me fade back into non Q-dom as easily as I’d thought.  YHC immediately picked up the phone, asked @ChickenStrip if he would like co-Q, and then Volume I of the “Chicken Farm” was born!  It went a little something like this:

After admiring Chicken Strip’s awesome Christmas gift from his parents (you had to show to know) and giving the disclaimer:

Mosey to Cul De Sac (too quietly for Dingo)

15 SSH

15 IST

15 Cotton Pickers

15 Mountain Climbers

Mosey to Playground and partner up.  The original plan (regardless of what Dingo says) was as follows:

Partner ladder pull-ups (Partner 1 does 10 pull ups while partner 2 does dips, flapjack then down to 8, 6, 4, 2…).  At some point during the ladders, YHC heard, “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing!”  To my surprise, there was Forgotten Jelly and two other Traditioners.  I guess they weren’t having enough fun at Tradition so they decided to crash our party!

Mosey to parking lot for partner derkin ladders (these were originally NOT going to be ladders but the pax wanted ladders and so ladders are what the pax received)!  This is where @Chicken Strip took the reigns…

Mosey to wet tennis courts, circle up, and exercise in group while one of the pax runs a loop to the parking lot and back to the tennis court.  The group remains exercising the whole time…a man is always running…  The exercises were as follows:

LBC x 20

Merkins x 15

Mountain Climbers x 25

Diamond Merkins x 10

Crunchy Frog x 16

Wide Merkins x 10

Sumo Squats x 20

Stagger Merkins x 8 each side

LBC x 20

Merkins x 10

Pretzel Crunch x 18

Mosey to Wall:

Muscle ups x 10

CDD x 15

Repeato x 3

People’s Chair for 1 minute

Mosey to parking lot for Mary:

Merkins x 12, Pretzel Crunch, Plank for 1 min

BOM

Wet Moleskin:

It was a pleasure leading a portion of this workout and even more enjoyable seeing @Chicken Strip lead.  Makes me want to step up my EH’ing game!  The man seems to love merkins which is the exact opposite of how he was when he first started!

1) I learned two things about Dingo this morning.  He hates getting his hands wet and he’s the Justin Bieber connoisseur of our Motley Crew!

2) Glad to see you back @Man Down.  I’ll be sure to check out your lights soon.

3) @FunkyBunch admitted to me that now he understands how one could forget to put on shorts for a workout.

4) @Dutch has lots of “stamina.”

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to lead!

Enjoyed it. Showed up for Jelly’s and it became quite clear that everybody had headed to the Chicken Farm to check out the opening show, so we all agreed to run on over and join in. It did not disappoint. Great mix of exercises and moving around the AO, plus you handled the mumblechatter very well.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and will see everyone soon.

    Welcome Baby Pie.

the first volume was great looking for the second one I was fun and I am a little surprise that Chicken Strip is the one that got us wet I didn’t think he would do it since it was the first Q but I am glad he did it great job.
    Thanks Chicken Farm

Good work The Farm and Chicken Strip! Thank you for stepping up! The variety of Q’s we have at Tradition is awesome!

“Dingo hates wet hands”??? All I remember saying is “No these gloves suck, my hands are already wet” in response to a question from Jelly?? But I should’ve known jelly would contort the truth…….

“My baby, baby, baby pie!” – I am sure thats how it goes……

Ahem, if I recall correctly, which I do, all I did was ask the question. I never once made fun of you or gave you any crap. I can’t help it if you talk too loud.

Yeah that was all Funky. Who else shows up late, dishes out lots of mumblechatter, then leaves early?

Dingo, the lyrics aren’t registering via text. We are going to need a live demo. Tomorrow morning maybe?

    Nice work @ChickenFarm!

@ChickenStrip – Two of my favorite things during a workout: 1. Theme, 2. Costume, I think your shirt fits into category 2. #halfwaythere

@TheFarm – Nice collaboration with @ChickenStrip today. It was like watching Usher and Justin Bieber performing together. #guesswhich1ur?

@Skipper & Jelly – I would have to consult @Dingo to find out what a Justin Bieber and Usher performance looks like. 🙂
