Pick a Card Any Card….

6.5 guys conquered the fartsack this morning and continued on the never ending quest to strengthen their iron fists (pounds table for effect).  It went a little something like this:

Warm-o-rama: Mosey around parking lot with high knees, buttkickers, karaoke and then COP

SSH x 15, IST x 15, Cotton Pickers X 15, Arm Circles

Mosey to the Outback for a little card game involving cinderblocks.  Here’s the key:

Hearts = Cinderblock Carolina Dry Docks

Clubs = Cinderblock Curls

Diamonds = Cinderblock Merkins

Spades = Bent Over Rows

Example: 5 of Hearts = 5 Carolina Dry Docks

Jacks = 10 Dips

Queens = 10 Burpees

Kings = 10 Pull Ups

Aces = Mosey to the Hill and back

Jokers = You Pick the Exercise!

After completing the deck, we joined the couch to 5k crew for some Mary (and Chuck Norris jokes).

Naked Moleskin:

Thanks for taking part in my Virgin Q!  It was an honor working with you men this morning.  My goal was to put together a workout that targeted back, biceps, chest, triceps, and shoulders.  A few notes:

Chicken Strip managed to select both Jokers (what are the odds??) and added skull crushers to the mix.

Maximus really enjoys cinderblock curls.

Although my intent was for us to do regular burpees, I looked up and realized I was the only one doing so.  Everyone else was using cinderblocks.  You guys are machines!

For those of you who are wondering, by going through the deck, we completed 55, CDDs, 55 Curls, 55 Cinderblock Merkins, 55 Bent Over Rows, 40 Dips, 40 Burpees, 40 Pullups, and 20 Skull Crushers!  Great job men!

    It was great being back after a week away! Thanks to Dutch for unknowingly giving me the idea months ago and to Moses for EHing me for over year until I finally posted. I’m stronger, leaner, and happier than I’ve been in a long time.

    @the farm – great workout! You are natural! Enjoyed your positive enthusiasm. At first I thought it might be a bit slow (no sweat) but the cards kept turning quickly and I realized I was sweating/being pushed – heart beating fast on a strength workout day – so that was an excellent combination. The mosey cards didn’t hurt either to get the heart pumping.
