EOM Monday Murph with MudRun Spin

It’s the last Monday of the month, so 16 of #Highlands finest (and #RollingStone/#Tradition) met at HC Sports Club for #The Murph.  Since everything over the past week has been MudRun focused, why not The Murph too?

Option 1: Traditional Murph (1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air-squats, 1 mile run)

Option 2: MudRun Murph (1 mile run, 10 pull-ups, 20 push-ups, 30 air-squats, run sidewalk past the bb courts to the stairs and bear crawl up the stairs, partner carry (or lunge walk if no partner) the parking lot back to the playground, repeato 10 pull-ups, 20 push-ups, 30 air-squats, loop…, etc. until time called)

Murph Moleskin:

1. Great day to pay tribute to an American hero and push our bodies!

2. @Chavez was well into his Murph when the pax launched at 0530. T-Claps on your early edition Murph!

3. Not sure of all the Murph FNGs today, but I’m guessing @Wild Turkey, @Blind Date, and @Google were newbies. This monthly tribute is a great measuring stick for your personal fitness.

4. T-Claps to the men who tried something new today with the #Mudrun Murph option (@Stoli, @BOS, @Gordo, @Alcatraz, @Google and YHC).  I can’t say whether the MudRun option was more difficult or not, however YHC was thoroughly smoked at the end.

5. Proud of @Tank who finished his last mile well within the 20 minute warning 🙂

6. Was that a @Gump “FEBA!” bike-by this morning?!

7. Awesome way to start our week and end the month of September! #Honored to be a part of this group.

8. Don’t forget #The Shield (3rd F workout) this Wed (10/1) at 8pm will be a live backblast from the Haiti trip. Special location at Fortiline (@Dropcloth’s work) 7025 Northwinds Dr NW, Concord, near airport off Derita. We’re already planning next year’s trip!

    Thanks for the lead Skipper and for mixing it up with the mud run option.

    After doing Winnebago’s Chelsea WOD a while back, I decided to try this Murph using 20 sets of 5/10/15. I found it be a good way to not get gassed early on the pullups/pushups.

    @Stoli Thanks for the partner carry and the push this morning. Not sure where my team was…last night they said they would be there.

    Last week after a workout someone told me that the Mudrun loop sounded like a good idea to add to the Murph. I’m pretty sure they didn’t post this morning. Just sayin…

    @Skipper Thank you for believing in me that I can do a 20min/mile! That was very motivating well in to my 8th Murph set:)
